High school girls are welcome to apply for opportunities to explore the digital humanities by conducting research at the Center for Women’s History and creating retro websites in the Tech Commons pertaining to historical figures and events impacting today's society. TECH SCHOLARS I, sponsored by the NYC Department of Education (with additional support from Susan Waterfall, Susan and Robert E. Klein, and BNY Mellon), will introduce students to basic HTML and CSS; TECH SCHOLARS II will teach students next-level web design and research methods. Tech Scholars will also have the unique opportunity to meet celebrated professional women making waves in their STEM industry, develop enhanced professional and academic skills and complete an original website. Learn more about each program and apply here.
