Dear Viewers & Readers,

St. John’s University’s Alumni Professional Development Series provides online learning from top alumni and industry experts. The St. John’s Corporate and Foundations group hand-selects individuals who will discuss topics for business professionals seeking professional growth and those interested in learning about the latest trends in their industry.

On June 24th, Prof. Chris Salboudis, Founding CEO, Educational Director & Editor in Chief of Philo4Thought will lead a conversation on Interviews. A series of Mock Interviews with premiere coaches and specialists from Philo4Thought will follow.

Overview: So you’ve got the call from your prospective employer and are now getting ready for a big interview! Want to learn a few strategies before you meet with the person (or people) interviewing you? Join us for successful tips and tricks to improve your interview skills. In this webinar we will begin with a short overview of interview goals, strategies, and common questions followed by interviews done in small groups to help you gain confidence in your ability to ace your next interview; the discussion will conclude with a proper post-interview follow up.

  1. Examine the Job Description Carefully… (Sample buzz words will be reviewed.)
  2. Have up to three questions of your own ready to ask. (Sample questions will be reviewed.)
  3. Be humble when asking or answering anything. 
  4. Clear Communication and Brief, Strategic Storytelling. (Details will be reviewed.) 

These and other top tops of what to do before, during and after the interview will be reviewed throughout this event. Additional questions can also be posed offline. This event is free and open to the public as a courtesy from Philo4Thought and St. John’s University.
